How often do you meet?

HBG meets weekly. Although we take breaks over the holidays/summer months, and Nova Scotia has no shortage of bad weather, we typically meet 48 weeks of the year.

When do you meet?

We meet bright and early for breakfast at 8:00am on Thursday mornings and wrap up around 9:00am. Our meetings start your day without interrupting your regular work day. 

Where to you Meet?

In order to adapt to the times, we have made some changes to our typical meeting schedule. Our current schedule has us meeting in person every two weeks at Smitty’s Restaurant in Clayton Park (362 Lacewood Drive) in their private meeting space so that we are free to eat and chat uninterrupted. Every other week we hold out meetings on Zoom so that we can meet from home. Check-in with us about our schedule here.

Is the group exclusive?

Yes it is. Although we are always happy to welcome guests to sit in on a meeting to get a feel for the group, we have an application process for new members and we do our best to make sure that no two members are competing with each other in the same field.

Is there a cost?

HBG does collect an annual membership fee ($120) which is very competitive compared to similar groups in HRM. The members’ dues cover costs like this website and our annual holiday dinner.
